Game Day Operations Support Personnel (Volunteer)
Reports To: Game Day Manager
Employment Period: April – August
Hours: Game Days Only (4–8 Hours, Evenings & Weekends)
Compensation: Volunteer Position (Eligible for High School Community Service Hours)
Position Overview
Cambridge United is seeking 2–3 Game Day Operations Support Volunteers to assist with the delivery of Ontario Premier League home matches. This role is ideal for high school students looking to complete community service hours while gaining hands-on experience in a sport and event-based environment.
Volunteers will work under the direction of the Game Day Manager and support basic matchday setup, operations, and post-game breakdown.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with pre-game field setup (goals, signage, tents, equipment)
• Support venue preparation and directional signage
• Welcome visiting teams and spectators
• Assist with ticketing and entry areas as directed
• Provide general customer service support
• Support scoreboard operation (if trained)
• Assist with post-game venue clean-up and equipment storage
Ideal Candidate

• Are reliable and punctual
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Work well as part of a team
• Are comfortable interacting with the public
• Have an interest in sport and community involvement
No previous experience is required. Training will be provided.
Volunteer hours will be tracked and verified upon request.
