Cambridge entered the match facing a goalkeeper shortage, with first-team keepers Shae Mitchell and Bronya Obelnicki both out due to injuries. Cambridge Women’s OPL3 goalkeeper Zoe Brown stepped up to start the match. Tecumseh scored three quick goals off failed set-piece clearances early in the first half to secure a 3-0 victory. While an extremely dominant Cambridge side spent the rest of the match in possession and generated a multitude of chances, they were unable to break the visitors deep defensive block.
