After a quiet first half, the Cambridge offense came alive to put on a clinical second-half display, utterly dominating the visitors to secure all three points in front of the home crowd.

After a slow, disjointed opening half that saw them fall behind by three goals, Cambridge dominated the final 35 minutes, scoring four unanswered goals to secure a memorable victory.

The Waterloo Region Derby delivered a tense, highly physical match as neighbouring rivals Waterloo United and Cambridge United played to a 2-2 draw at RIM Park. A fast-paced first half saw Cambridge take an early cushion, but Waterloo battled back before halftime to split points on the night.

Desperately needing a response after a heartbreaking, last-minute loss to Waterloo the previous Friday, Cambridge delivered a commanding performance to claim a win in the local derby.

The rainy and windy conditions added an extra layer of grit to an already intense matchup. Cambridge wasted absolutely no time asserting their authority on the pitch. An explosive opening half-hour provided the visitors a comfortable cushion, allowing them to weather a late second-half push from Guelph and put the game completely out of reach in stoppage time.

The club offered free entry to all fans who brought food donations for the Waterloo Region Food Bank, creating an electric, community-centered atmosphere.
