Wear red, feed a family, and back the Bridge

Join Cambridge United for our Canada Soccer Night to celebrate a historic moment for Canadian soccer and cheer our Men’s First Team to victory! The biggest summer in our sport's history kicks off this Friday, June 12, and we are celebrating with the biggest home match of our Men’s OPL2 campaign so far.

To mark this historic opening day of the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup on Canadian soil, Cambridge United is throwing a Canada Soccer Night as our Men’s First Team welcomes local rivals Waterloo United for the Waterloo Region Derby. With local bragging rights on the line and a chance for Cambridge to solidify their spot in third place, join us Friday, June 12 at Fountain Street Soccer Complex to support the lads and celebrate the Canadian soccer community.

This night is all about a community united—both on the pitch and in the city of Cambridge. Soccer is nothing without the community that fuels it, so we are calling on every Cambridge fan, family member, and youth player to wear red to support Canada and give back by bringing a non-perishable food item.

As a part of our Fill the Net Food Drive, we are partnering with the Food Bank of Waterloo Region to support local families by offering completely free admission to anyone who brings a non-perishable food item to the gate (List of most needed food items here). Otherwise, entry is just $5 at the gate.

Gates open at 7:00 p.m. with kickoff set for 8:00 p.m. at Fountain Street Soccer Complex, 880 Linden Drive. The first youth players through the gate will receive a complimentary, limited-edition Canada Soccer wristband, so we encourage fans to get down to the pitch early while supplies last!
