First Half
Cambridge capitalized early in the 14th minute. Matthew Ciavarro put one away for
the home side on a one touch finish past the keeper off of a perfectly weighted and
placed through ball from the edge of the opposition's eighteen-yard box.
Jon Elezi followed with a goal of his own in the 36th minute to give Cambridge a
fairly comfortable lead heading into half time up 2-0. It was a good solo effort, Elezi
splitting two defenders in the box to be head-to-head with the London keeper who
had no chance against the power behind Elezi’s right-footed strike.
Cambridge closed out the half leading 2-0.
Second Half
No substitutions were made for Cambridge to start the second half.
Ciavarro got his second of the night in the 47th minute on the receiving end of an
angled ball in behind London’s back line from Evan Antolcic to give Cambridge a 3-0,
the score line beginning to reflect the dominance of the home side's performance. He
would exit the game in the 63rd minute, making way for top goal scorer Christian
Ferraro. Tristan Greenidge would replace skipper Harvey Marchant in the 63rd
minute as well.
With a comfortable 3-0 lead, Cambridge made a few more substitutions to beat the
clock, Gregor McKeon coming in for Elezi, Dylan Mun for Alex Maral, and Kaven
Thamilventhan for Marko Lesic in the 72nd minute. Calum Heimbecker came in for
Patrick Brousseau in the 76th to add fresh legs to the Cambridge back line.
Evan Antolcic sealed the deal for Cambridge, putting them up 4-0 with a well placed
shot curled low in beside the left post after he found himself unmarked and alone just
outside the London box on a corner.
Adrian Andrasic came in for Landon Paton in the 91st minute of play, Cambridge’s
final action in their dominant 4-0 win at home.
